"I throughly enjoyed my stay at La Posada. It backs up to the national forest and so there was a lot of wildlife around the property. The beach was about 2 blocks away through an easy cut through. Lots of restaurants close. The staff was wonderful and friendly. A cooked breakfast was free. "

"At shoulder season prices this place offered a great value considering its ideal location. You're across the street from a beautiful beach and a 10-minute walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park. The office staff was helpful and the servers in the open-air restaurant were friendly. The rooms are in need of an update, but they're clean and the grounds are well maintained. I enjoyed my stay. "

"Wonderful experience, great staff. We planned some on our own and some they helped out with. The property is pretty vast, including multiple restaurants, pools, and hotel areas, all in the hills above the beach. We saw monkeys, iguanas, butterflies, parrots, etc on property which the kids loved. It was recommended to us and we’d absolutely pass on the recommendation. "

"We absolutely loved our time at La Mariposa. It was clean, conveniently located to great dining, quiet -- but by far our favorite was the view and the staff! "This hotel was so lovely, I was so impressed by both the service and facilities. The check-in is at el Faro hotel but this is really very close, like next door close. The Faro restaurant and pools are fab and are up a small hill but the walk is perfectly fine for a normally fit person and the view is worth the climb. "Charming hotel great for some alone time with your partner. Went during off season so only three other couples staying there and never rant into all of them at the same time.
