"I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Whole room was damp. The bedding felt damp. Floor felt damp. Towels, too. Mold under the light shade. "We stayed here overnight for 4th weekend. The property was very clean, staff was kind and welcoming. We have a dog and there are two places for restroom with doggie bags and a trash can! They even give you a door tag to let the cleaners know you have a dog. We also got welcome and departure water bottles, which was amazing after and before a day of travel. "This is one of the few chain hotels close to Nauvoo. After checking in, I decided I would’ve rather driven 3 hours south to get to St. Louis than stay close to Nauvoo at this hotel. It didn’t feel clean. It smelled of bleach and random fragrant smells that differed between rooms. The breakfast looked gross. There was pubic hair all over the floor in the bathroom. "Overall the experience was good. My only issues were that my window ended up facing another building. I didn't mind it too much so it wasn't a huge issue. Just a heads up for others that it may be a possibility. The other issue was that the exhaust in the bathroom runs non-stop. There is no switch to turn it off.
