I booked this hotel without reading the reviews. Hotel location is not great, front desk staff was not great, at least the person who checked me in. Did not welcome us, did not smile once and was rudely straight to the point, it almost felt like he did not want to be there. I had two rooms booked, one for myself and one for my aunt and her husband. I can understand the hotel being older and all, however the rooms were dirty and dingy. I found hairs and sand on my bed. The sheets smelled like someone had slept in them and they were not washed. The were two major issues in my opinion and reason I’ll never stay again. 1- Neither one of the rooms had a fridge so we couldn’t keep anything in the room, such as waters and snacks. I left a little bag of snacks on the counter and within minutes it crawling with little bugs. 2- all the water in the rooms was SALTY. The sink water and shower water was SALTY! imagine taking a shower with sea water, far worst imagine brushing your teeth with salty water( gross). There is far better option for smaller local spots that aren’t necessarily posted on major websites.

there are mosquitos in the area when you check in, as soon as you come up to the podium you start getting bitten, some waiters won't come or ask if you need anything unless you flagged them

Hotel was great, we loved the food, accommodations and location. Only thing I was not happy bout was the personnel at the front desk, never smiling, very direct and no conversations, tried to be happy and jolly when coming in and they killed my vibe instantly. They need someone more enthusiastic and more of people friendly. Also the waiters took long in giving service, when I asked the waiter where he kept going he explained that between serving they have to also wash dishes poor guy,But over all great experience. Will definitely come back.

THIS IS NOT A RESORT – A group of us went to Hotel Tesoro Beach for Cinco de Mayo weekend. Upon our arrival we were put into an incorrect room. Made the switch to our correct room to find out the toilet did not flush properly. We ended up using the public restrooms near the pools during our stay. The surrounding area is a beach you cannot swim in and construction / trash area. The location is not close to anything and offers very limited food options. You get one menu the entire time. The pools are average, nothing to boast about. THE WORST PART though was when we went to check out, we noticed multiple charges to our room that was not ours. I’m talking $200 charges that were incorrect. The hotel would not take these charges off and stated the staff said we ordered these items. Unfortunately, we did not speak Spanish well and hardly had any staff on location that spoke English, so we paid the tab and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere. This is a trap location and way to pricey to have all of these issues.

Very nice place to stay the place is been remodeled but not noisy or dirty very helpful and friendly staff the food is very good and always felt safe in and around the property.

the lobby looks grand with the beautiful Spanish chandeliers but very dirty they need to sweep and mop the beautiful tile floors and add some natural plants. the plants they have are silk but they need someone to keep them look nice looking.

Everything was good, food, cleaning except the noisy and when we were there, the Miss Universe ladies show up and they limit the rest of the gust from the dining are without any previous notice. We order our food and then we were ask to move somewhere else.

The property is beautiful, but the staff needs improvements, especially the one on the from desk needs to be friendly and informative about the services provided by the hotel and different areas. Staff on the restaurant and eating areas should be more aware about customers needs.

I had pretty high expectations from this place considering the pictures that I saw. the staff was very nice. At first when we got there at night it seemed like a great place. The next day we woke up to construction going on two rooms from us. I had gotten a room with a view of the beach online. I could see a tiny portion of the beach and the construction of the building next to us. There was no hot water, the water for some reason tasted salty coming from the shower and the sink. There were some areas of the room that just seemed like they weren’t cleaned properly, mostly in the bathroom. The shower curtain seemed very dirty along with the shower area. Also, the wifi was terrible. I couldn’t use it on my phone. They didn’t have very many food options on the menu, and the last thing was that the resort was very far away from anything there really was to do in the area, for it not being all inclusive it was pretty inconvenient. I would probably not stay here again. To make things worse it’s been almost a week since my stay and I’m still waiting to hear back about my refund from someone, since I didn’t stay the whole week I booked out. I hope everyone else has a better experience than I do.

We had booked for 5 nights, we left 2 nights early due to no hot water, nobody at front desk to help, everything closed early, limited options for dining and nothing near by, they were doing construction on roof in next room early in morning. I asked for refund for remaining nights expedia said they would help and try and get refund but they failed. First time in el salvador beautiful country wonderful people recommend coming there but dont bother with this resort much better places to stay.
