"After COVID the hotel rates increased dramatically based on the few improvements to the rooms~ The bathtubs still have no mats in the tubs so they're very slippery~ Bathroom flooring always seems dirty~ The bed coverings are 2 sheets and a thin blanket, we froze both nights! But it's one individual in particular, Kevin, who is very matter of fact and never friendly or helpful! I've been staying at LHL several times a year for the last 10 years and every front desk agent is helpful and friendly, all but Kevin! It was 2 years ago, when I booked through the hotel directly, tgat I was charged a "BED TAX" which resulted in another $100 being added to my bill! I questioned it and Kevin became argumentative and couldn't explain what this tax was for and why isn't it mentioned on their website! That's when I stopped staying there~"

"The pictures on the website are very miss leadin. The rooms are extremely small. The bathroom was step-in, sit down, and step-out. I was very much looking forward to staying at that hotel but w did not! The first flush of the toilet was a clog drain. The desk person asked if we thought a plunger would work. Yes, probably but I was not going to do that all the time. By this time it was 10:30 m or so and I told him we were not going to stay. Pack up again, load car and leave. All of this was after a 6 hour drive from Arizona."

"The entire building smelled like mildew my clothes stink the building is old the lights flicker and elevator even glitched wouldn't work had to hold the button down"

"We checked in at 10 PM, and the electricity went out about 20 minutes later. There was not a single ray of light in the entire place. We had no choice but to leave. I requested a refund that night and was told they would contact me, but they never did. I went back the next day to follow up, and again they said they would contact me — yet I never heard from them. Terrible experience overall. Very poor management and customer service. I would not recommend dealing with this place."

"1) too bright to sleep since the door is frosted glass without any curtains or blackout shade. There is a skylight over the kitchenette in the bedroom that also made it too bright. 2) TV remote battery either dying or the remote just not functioning properly. Couldn't change channels smoothly or volume, and turning off the TV wasn't working so we had to do it on the TV itself 3) Bed a little too soft for me 4) Checked in but were in the other building and told that the wifi was different but didn't know where to find it. 5) phone in room doesn't have a button to auto call the front desk; inconvenient 6) a little dark in the bathroom sink area"

"Very professional and friendly staff; easy check in. Fabulous suite room; very large, with fridge, microwave, two TVs, sofa, seats, table. Very clean room and bathroom; also had a small outdoor balcony patio. Very cool place to stay in Orange County. Very clean grounds, with parking near elevators to access rooms; good breakfast. Overall, a gem of a hotel with professional staff. Thank you, we'll stay here again!"

"I had a wonderful experience in my 2 night stay. The located is perfect for a quick and direct drive to Laguna Beach. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, clean, and my favorite part: has a refrigerator and microwave so that I could eat my leftovers from local restaurants. I also loved the complimentary breakfast every morning! I had scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes with so many other choices like cereal, waffles, pancakes, muffins and more! It was quiet (I never heard anyone running down hallways or any traffic from nearby roads) from my room. I would definitely stay there again. "
