"Lots of bugs inside and out. On the river so you have to get a boat ride and taxi to get places and it’s 10 or $15 USD each way. Not a convenient location unless you bring your own food, all the bug spray, don’t leave luggage open, don’t mind stinky dogs in your step and don’t plan to explore anywhere but there. Beds, bathrooms and kitchen did seem clean and the staff were friendly."

"The staff is extremely welcoming. Unfortunately, there is no air-conditioning in the breakfast area. Guest are allowed to bring the complementary breakfast to their room though, which is air conditioned. Anytime you need to leave the hotel, there are taxi drivers waiting out front to bring you to your destination."

The room was clean, cozy, and a good spot to relax after being out for the day running around. The staff was friendly and helpful. "Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again. The property appears quite old and, more importantly, was not as clean or well-maintained as expected, especially considering the price. There were noticeable stains on the walls (fingerprints, black marks, etc, stains on the couch, stains on the refrigerator, and exposed wall plugs. The kettle was extremely old and rusted, to the point that I did not feel comfortable using it. The lock on the balcony door was not functioning properly, and...

"This is basically a run-down motel right in the city close to the water taxis. It is on the water canal and you can sit outside on one of two balconies which was nice. The staff was nice and accommodating. The only real amenity was a mini fridge in the room. They did offer coffee in the morning."

"Sir Angel’s Guesthouse started as a longtime Belizean family home, and it is even named after the patriarch, Angel. Communication while booking was timely and accurate. Upon arrival, my booked ride from the airport was prompt, and the driver gave me a local tour en route to the Guesthouse! I was warmly greeted at the guesthouse by the owner, and even introduced to a family member! At the Guesthouse, I enjoyed being “in Belize”—- I was at a small, family-owned lodging for my first two days...

"I enjoyed this property because it is not far from the airport, Belize City, neighborhood convenience stores, or restaurants. It is a small bed and breakfast so you will get to know the owner and Ms. Pauline very well. Breakfast is always great and timely! They also have taxi drivers they use who are seemingly always avaiable for whenever you need to go somewhere but many things are in within walking distance."
