"Things that were spot on: The use of the pool; convenient parking; gardens and meditative space; 24/7 hot water for tea and AM coffee for coffee drinkers; nearby restaurants; lots of towels and pillows so no need to clean room daily for shorter stay guests; walking trails; entry by the east entrance; wildlife & bird song; the historic cross.
Things to improve upon; the hallways have a bad odor or an odd Christmas potpourri fragrance wafting about; staff did not seem to be able to answer...

"Yes, the breakfast menu was good. Desk staff, excellent. Room, clean and comfortable. Liked having a tub in the bath. Also nice to have an additional sink outside the bathroom where the frig and microwave are. Bed comfortable and a/c not too noisy!"

"Just adequate. Room was clean, but smelled moldy. Property is dated and off the beaten path. Low volume day we were there. Skeleton staff had to wait for someone to come check us in. Was out of waffle mix. No protien offered with breakfast. Seems like they are barely hanging on, but doing bare minimum still. Not a plan for success in my opinion. "

"This place is a gem! Our definite go-to place when I come to say in Western NC. Everything you would want in a cabin is here - as long as you don’t mind the outdoor propane fire pit in place of a messy indoor wood burning fireplace.
I wish I could tell everybody this place sucks, so I can can scare people away and I will always have a room available 😝"
