"The historic building and our room were lovely. However it needs to be mentioned that that building has low ceilings and no air conditioning. I was disappointed that the reception staff did not let me know that as I had booked an air conditioned room. The weather was hot and although they provided a standard fan it was only adequate. Having said that the Polish breakfasts were excellent (so much food and cooked to order). And the location is perfect to explore the old city and the riverfront....

"Approx 45 mins from Torun down some tricky roads. Isolated location. Has activities on site that we had no use for due to the nature of our visit. Stayed in a cottage. Inconsiderate neighbours played loud music. Upstairs no curtains. Didn't sleep very well! Breakfast buffet was reasonably good"

"Friendly welcome and efficient check in. Suite and hotel are immaculately clean. The style of the lounge and bedroom is different (mix of colours and patterns has the feel of 1974 :)). However all items were new and in perfect condition. Bathroom is modern, fully equipped (loo bidet, bath and separate shower ) It seems to be a conference /event venue. 15 to 20 minute stroll into the town centre. Would recommend I will return next time I am in Torun"

"This is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The only issue is no lift to that floor but the desk clerk was very willing to help with our bags. The room was very comfortable, cool to my standards(being an American) and the village of Torun is absolutely charming. I throughly enjoyed my visit there and intend to return to both the village and hotel."

"I cannot over-emphasize how unique the top level apartment is. You won't find anything like this in a typical hotel in Poland. You get an amazing view of the square, plus a large sitting area, and a well equipped kitchen. The furniture in the apartment is exquisite, and are of a quality you would put in your own home. All of the beds are in a single bed-room, which might work well for a family. Of course, for something this unique, you have to pay the cost: Access is only by climbing...

"A lovely hotel, beautifully converted in a traditional building. Our room had an interesting street -scene mural on one wall, which added to the historical touches within the building. An extensive breakfast set us up for sightseeing each day, plenty of choices including local options. We couldn't fault it in any way. The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. One lady went above and beyond when helping us with a question about bus tickets to get to the railway station - she...
