"The Graduate is very charming and I had a special room with a view and a fireplace! But it comes with all the charm of a boutique hotel, like a slow elevator (and only one small elevator), so don't expect the perks and efficiency of a franchise hotel. But I still prefer it and it feels more like home. I'll stay there again when I'm in Evanston!"

Chicago is a business city, reminded me of a bar man set as its high rised buildings and slightly darker from the shadows of these buildings. Locally there was a few cafes and coffee shops for easy reach for breakfast "

"Overall, our 2 night stay at the Silversmith didn't meet expectations. I wasn't expecting anything fancy as I don't seek out "fancy" when booking a hotel. I just look for clean and comfortable with very good service. Unfortunately, this was not the case at the Silversmith. The room furnishings were rather worn, the bed was soft, the pillows were very lumpy and the curtains were not attached properly. Parts of the bathroom had been remodeled and were new, while other fixtures were dingy. ...

"My only complaint is that I felt like the room would be larger. That being said the stay was still very comfortable for my wife and I. Location was great. Definitely has an old time charm.
