"Brand new hotel with a nice ambience. However not a fan of open plan hotel room as in no door or wall for the bathroom. The shower cubicle and the toilet cubicle each have a frosted glass door but that’s all. The “wardrobe” is open area hanging rack.
The roof top pool is nice but woefully small area for the size of the hotel.
Bar area on level 12 is really nice. Watermelon and goats cheese salad is excellent."

"Very relaxing stay the staff were very friendly on arrival and showed us around the lush gardens. We had the pleasure of staying in the church loft, very unique experience. The only thing that could be improved is the light outside the church front windows (security light) in the common lounge area is on 24/7 and is very bright at night shining through the stained glass window on the front door. Shame it is not on a sensor after 9-10pm. Otherwise we would definitely come back."

"The staff were amazing. I was travelling with 3 kids. After getting mucked around from my previous hotel, Ashleigh on reception was amazing! The next day she moved our room to accomodate us more. "We were very disappointed with our stay. After checking in, we found that the room had a strong unpleasant smell, the chairs were visibly stained, and the bathroom did not appear to be clean. The shower head was also not working properly, with very poor water flow, and it made a loud noise whenever it was turned on, making it an unpleasant experience to use.

"Spent two nights here.
The location was perfect for what we needed, the hotel facilities are great, and being on the beach was another plus.
Our room was a little dated but was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Outside our room had a strange smell in the corridor level 2. but apart from that had a great stay.
Lastly all the staff were pleasant and helpful"

"This place has all the aspects that could make it a winner. It's in a great spot, it has a nice distillery behind it, and it's a walk to town. Unfortunately the management is letting this place go big time. Mouldy windows, mouldy shower, big brown stains on blankets, unusable wifi, general maintenance and cleaning seems non existent. The tiled floors we gross sticky also. It's barely three stars, we never saw a staff member the entire time for check-in or out either."

"Second time staying at this hotel, and it was again an excellent experience. Rooms feel fresh and new still, very clean and have a nice warm feel.
The location is very handy to the beach, nice cafes and Sunshine Plaza. It’s also perfect for people who just need a comfortable place to sleep rather than a full resort-style stay, as the rooms are on the smaller side but very well designed.
Will definitely stay here again and think it’s excellent value."

"It was a wonderful experience at Maleny Terrace Cottages. Sarah was so friendly and helpful when we thought we would be checking in after hours. We ended up making it in before the office was closed and she helped us figure out which restaurants were open close by. The Thai restaurant that is just 2 driveways away was actually fantastic!
