"We liked the hotel a lot except for one thing. I rented two smoke-free rooms but one of the rooms smelled very strongly of tobacco smoke. Our family was there in other rooms and they were all next to each other and across the hall from each other, so we did not want to change rooms. The maid service who cleaned the room should have notified the hotel management of that the previous renter had smoked in the room. They should at least have used some air freshener in the room."

"Coastal Suites is a reasonably priced hotel in a busy section of Wilmington. My only complaint is about noise in the vending/ice machine area which is quite loud in my room which was next to this area. On Wednesday evening someone was talking on his phone. Early Thursday morning some taking a large amount of ice from the machine. This noise was quite disturbing."

"Overall, I enjoyed the hotel. Room was clean. Great water pressure and quick hot water, loved having the little kitchen area and coffee maker. "This is a great value for a beach front stay. No frills. Nothing fancy. But it was clean and quiet. The parking is limited to one car per room; When I called ahead to ask about a solution to brining two cars, the clerk simply said “well you’re just going to have to cancel” I said, “no ma’am, my problem solving skills are better than that” and realized there’s paid parking directly in front of the hotel for the general public-problem solved. I paid $30/day to park my car there."
