As a foreigner, it was culturally enriching to walk the street with the locals in the mor ing to get a feel for daily life. The streets are incredibly dirty, but the people are so genuinly kind and welcoming.

I was referring to a seafood restaurant in La Palapa that had the most amazing seafood dinner and we went with the taxi driver who took us where we need to go waited for us and then brought us back and we said let's stop and have dinner at the seafoo

Hard not to like Lapu-Lapu. The extreme gentrification is mind boggling, but probably nothing unique to the area. Food is fantastic. People are friendly. My kids love it.... well I can't tell with the teenage daughters but my boys love it.

Traffic is bad, roads are very narrow, too many motorcycles, taxi cabs at the ferry ripped us off. He charge me PHP 1,000 pesos and it's supposed to be only PHP 275. Some vendors take advantage of tourists.
