"This was the old schoolhouse in town. The new school facilities are right next to it. The school seems to be a center for the towns activities… I enjoyed seeing the kids and observing a different culture. You are within walking distance to town and restaurants. I recommend Saltka. We had the second floor unit. Very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Also nice to use the complimentary washer and dryer. "

"Very steep unpaved access. If you have fear of heights this may cause problems getting in and out. Didn’t have Body wash on arrival. Day 2 we found they have entered and put body wash in which is a violation of privacy — entering room without permission when we were out!!! Could not take shower first night. Didn’t deliver body wash until day 2. View is great. "

"After a long, exhausting drive from the East, my family & I arrived in Akureyri around 1:00 am. We were completely exhausted after driving from the South & just ready to get some rest. However, our check-in hit a small bump -- we were given the wrong code to our apartment & couldn’t get in. Thankfully, when I called the staff, he responded quickly & provided a new code.
