"The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away. "

We boobed with the location as it was a good 20 minute walk to the old town, a killer going back until we found ubers to get us around. Would stay nearer centre next time and I ay a little more. "To say that the photographs of the apartment were misleading would be a misuse of the term. Totally mis-representational would be more appropriate (it was a completely different space). On arrival, there was no-one there to give us keys and no-one answered the phone when we tried repeatedly to call. "In the old block our assigned room had fairly flat worn carpet. That would have been fine if it was clean, but the carpets were dirty. The skirting boards were full of dust. There was hair on the bedsheets, and the bathroom was full of hair and pubic hair. As if the cleaning staff has used a very hairy brush/mop and just moved it from one room to another. Reception was very apologetic and changed us to another room which although the carpets were dirty, it was hairless and went with it. We asked for compensation and I was supposed to receive the cost of 1 night. This is apparently submitted to the finance department and claimed against the cleaning company. It has been 8 weeks and I still haven't received it. And my requests for updates have been ignored. The staff know how incompetent the cleaning company is, so it is not a surprise when this happens. Also each room had something missing: e.g. towel, soap, toilet paper, so you'll be heading to reception a lot. I'm sure this post will be deleted to maintain a good score."
