"Unfortunately not a great stay. Quite an odor in the hotel not sure what it is. The pillows were terrible, the lighting in bathroom was like a hospital. Couldn't get help with bags down from our room so we likely wouldn't come back. Just not a comfortable stay compared to others on our trip."

"Lovely hotel, spacious room, great food and an excellent breakfast"

"Charming old country house on beautiful property with gardens, situated just minutes walk from Ardara village. The house is an old period home and maybe in need of some upgrades here and there. But if you're into these kinds of residences, you'll love it. We were put in a room in the adjacent coach house, which was a put as the upstairs rooms in the house itself looked beautiful and we were the only people staying the night we were there. Security is relatively basic for a quiet location out of town, particularly room doors operated by key alone. Breakfast service is good as were the staff helpful and welcoming."

"Everything was extremely clean, and the view from our ocean side room was amazing."

"Nice location right on the harbour. Breakfast was good, with room very spacious. Very clean."

"One of the most beautiful hotels in Ireland. Staff was very helpful and location was central to our visit."

Staff here were excellent and extremely polite! We unfortunately stayed during a hot spell and the hotel was not equipped to handle that issue entirely. One small fan was provided for a family size room and one morning we noted that the heat in the hallway was blazing! Another concern is the WiFi. It was...

"Beautiful place with good places to walk, staff friendly and helpful, easy walk to town. The only problem was very low water pressure in the bathroom especially the shower."

"Sandhouse was a wonderful find! Our room was delightful with a perfect sea view. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff."
