"This could be a great hotel, but they have just kind of let it go. There was a water leak in the historical area and instead of cleaning up the water they just put down a sign that said "caution wet floor". The restaurant and bar area closed early so dont plan on getting any food or drink after 930 pm unless you get a higher priced drink from the gift shop. The staff was friendly but did not notify me that they were placing a "hold" on my credit card for incidentals or the amount that would be held, which was also kind of hilarious because there is nothing in the room to purchase so why place a hold which actuallyturned out to be a charge that had to be credited back? I paid for the room directly through Hotels.com so the fact that they put a charge at all that I have to now wait to be credited back to my card will keep me from ever coming back. Also if you decide to stay an additional night do not ask to extend your stay at the front deck, they will up charge you. When I checked in I heard them quote a couple $235 for an additional night for the night i was staying, and I booked my room for $112 on Hotels.com about 35 mins before. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable for the price I paid, but based on overall condition of the property and a lack of communication of charges to my credit card, I give then about a 6 out of 10.. Like I said, I will not choose this hotel again."
