"Desk agent was helpful and friendly, room was clean and in good repair, the bed was comfortable and the pillows good. The room was very spacious (we had a King standard) and the sitting area was between the bed and bathroom so it didn’t wake the other party when someone was showering. But for me, the very best part was that outside the front entrance (and incidentally visible from our window) was several trees full of white Ibis and snowy egrets. The desk agent said that they sleep there every night. When we woke, we realized that there was quite a bit of marshland around the hotel so the birds were safe up in those trees from ALLIGATORS! If you are not from the south, you might be surprised to find “beware of alligator” signs. But the cattails are so grown up near the parking lot that an alligator is probably unlikely. But a tour guide on our trip told us that alligators are typically afraid of humans and will just run away from you. But if they don’t, just run in a zig zag pattern as they can only run straight! "
