"Could not fault anything about the hotel. Staff, room, facilities, breakfast, location... it was all excellent. We upgraded to a suite and it was well worth it for the extra space, cool bathroom and huge bed. Melissa was a great help when we arrived. And the rooftop pool that can be used in the Intercontinental next door is very special. Highly recommended."
"Srayed with 3 fellow travelers. Key points:
Great location, easy walk to the parks by the ocean and to Kennedy park. Tours offer pick up at your hotel or at a meeting point 5min away.
The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
The pool was tiny but located at a cool rooftop terrace next to a bar.
The gym is small but has few machines and dumbbells.
The included vreakfast buffet wlhad excellent food choices uncluding items made to order.
But the staff at the buffet and at the bar were not professional so be ready: I asked to fill my plastic water bottle. The waiter did but put it on the wrong table. The person at that table actualy thought it was a full bottle and drank from it..Then the waiter just put it on my table. Glad my friends saw it and told me. Several more similar examples made the otherwise exellent stay a bit annoying.
One more point - if you booking includes some perks you get a better experience. For example, I got a room on the 7th floor booking through Expedia and my room was Great: welcome pastries, soft robe and slippers. My friends got none of that and said their rooms smelled musty.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel but would just never ask to fill my water bottle there lol, but my friends who did not receive the same "elevated' treatement said they would not stay there again."
"Hotel is literally on the doorstep of bustling Historic center of Lima. If you are looking for quiet stay, this is not the hotel for you. Think downtown NYC level traffic noise with something always happening. Great location from which to explore - walk right out the hotel to explore museums, parks and grab a bite to eat. We arrived early AM, spent the day exploring and left the next morning to fly onto Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, and it worked out perfectly for us to recharge from long flight and start or Peru trip. If the noise of the traffic will bother you, maybe ask for a room on the backside of the hotel - Lima doesn't have any subways etc so ALL the traffic from this massive city is on the road and it sounded like most of it was right outside the hotel hehe. Still loved it!"
"We ( mom with three teenagers) had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our trip truly memorable. We had to leave very early for a tour and would have missed breakfast, but after learning about our situation, the hotel staff kindly prepared breakfast for us at 5:00 AM, which was incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated.
We enjoyed the excellent breakfast as well as a superb, high-quality dinner at the rooftop restaurant, which offers a stunning view of the city. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of everything, providing easy access to banks, supermarkets, malls, Kennedy Park, Love Park, and the beach — all within a 10-minute walk."
