Dear Sarah,Our guests are never on their own, as we have team members 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.Our guests do not need to wait that long (at best) to tell us that they are enjoying their breakfast when our team is present during breakfast time or any time of the day at our Bica-San Restaurant.All rooms are equipped with coffee, water, tea and plenty of sugar. Inside the bathroom you can find shoe mit, vanity kit, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, hand soup and much more.We have an hostel in Lisbon, up in Príncipe Real.And last but not least, our reception is not near the kitchen, as we have our bar in between.We are here, every day of the year, to give some sense of reality to this kind of reviews.Obrigado!

Dear Marc,It is so odd to read such a review, especially when I personally asked you several times during your stay if everything was going well and you always answered in a positive way. You never mentioned anything about the water or coffee, even at breakfast time, when you thought it was included in your reservation but you have reserved in a room only basis.The housekeeper entered your room at 7 pm to perform the Turndown service and after that, you placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door for the rest of your stay.As per DND procedure, nobody is allowed to enter the room besides the guests.We are open-minded and guest-focused at Independente Bica, caring for each other and always pleasant to anyone who reaches or visits us. We try our best to accommodate our guest's needs, even for the ones that arrive very early as a family with teenagers like you were, demanding for an early check-in way before the 3 pm check-in time.If you decide to visit Lisbon again, WE at Independente Bica will be happy to welcome you again.Best regards,
