Pleasant Stay in Alfama

It was our first time in Lisbon and we heard Alfama was one of the best areas to be in - I tend to agree! Rui was incredibly helpful and we were able to converse with him on WhatsApp. We ran into some communication issues initially as they contacted my cell phone to organize check in. I’d suggest for Rui to use email next time as my partner and I purchased eSIMs so we didn’t have our local numbers activated. We stayed in the main floor on O Patio. The washer and dryer was a huge plus for us after travelling a few weeks before. The whole apartment was very well maintained, comfy beds and had AC. The overhead shower was delightful and the room was cleaned everyday. Being on the main floor has its pros and cons though. Many tourists and locals walk this corridor and I did catch someone poking around our window and making eye contact with me from outside, frightening me a bit. However, everything is locked and secure and much more high tech than I expected. I’d maybe suggest for Rui to get a safety deposit box as we felt a bit uneasy leaving our passports and laptops out. Otherwise, I’d give this place an 8/10!

Absolutely stunning decor, a hidden gem right in the middle of the old Lisbon! Very clean and luxurious, would (and will) recommend to anyone I know visiting Lisbon. Just WOW!

This is the simply the nicest place we've ever stayed on a foreign holiday. We stayed on top floor apartment with the lovely balcony and everything in the apartment was designed to perfection and was immaculate. The location is incredible. The church square just up the hill is a beautiful setting for an early evening drink and there are lots of great shops and lovely bakeries nearby. Rui was a wonderful host. Do not hesitate in booking this - you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Die Unterkunft war genauso wie auf Expedia beschrieben. Eine sehr moderne und saubere Wohnung im schönen Stadtteil Alfama. Unglaublicher Blick vom Balkon auf den Tejo. Des Weiteren hatten wir eine sehr gut Betreuung vom Concierge Rui. Er hat uns sogar einen Shuttle vom Flughafen zur Wohnung organisiert. Vor Ort hat er sich sehr viel Zeit genommen uns die Wohnung, Restaurants etc, aber auch Alfama und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erklären. Was den Service, die Lage und Zustand der Wohnung betrifft, war der Lissabon Urlaub unvergesslich und das wird sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein das wir dort Urlaub machen. Die Wohnung ist nur zu empfehlen! Vielen Dank *********************** The apartment was exactly as described on Expedia. A very modern and clean apartment in the beautiful Alfama district. Incredible view from the balcony to the Tejo. Furthermore we had a very good support from Concierge Rui. He even arranged a shuttle for us from the airport to the apartment. On site he took a lot of time to explain us the apartment, restaurants etc., but also Alfama and sights. As far as service, location and condition of the apartment is concerned, the Lisbon holiday was unforgettable and this will certainly not be the last time we spend a holiday there. The apartment is only recommended! Thanks a lot

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was very good...close to so many attractions but quiet and peaceful at night. We stayed in the 2 bedroom which was great for us and our daughter. Communication was prompt and they were very helpful with things like transportation, storage of luggage, etc.

Loved our stay

Absolutely excellent stay here. Our 2 bedroom apartment was perfect. Everything was new, Clean, and the little extras like coffee, sugar, bottle of wine, apples, toiletries and supplied hairdryer made our stay easier. The area is great for restaurants, the famous 28 tram and castle sao jorge and there are a couple of cheap minisupermarkets nearby. The apartment has a washing machine and dishwasher and we used the double sofa bed in the lounge which was as comfortable as the 2 main double beds Negatives- (minor) it is a hilly 15mins walk from the metro to the apartment- in hindsight i would get the tram28 from martim moniz or a taxi from airport.
