Beautiful old renovated building. Had the corner room on the second to top floor and the views were stunning. Amazing location with everything very close but so much just around the hotel itself. Elevator was broken so that was really hard on my parents but overall a great place. Would recommend and use again if needed.

Ok place but if you have large suitcases .. there is a first flight of steep stairs before you get to the 2 person or 3 suitcases elevator. Our room was very small, none of the suitcases could be left open on the floor Good location for eateries and down hill walk to city center.

Older property but very clean. Considering the location. I can't believe how quiet it was at night. Walking distance to just about everything and a quaint park right across the street to sit at in the evening and look across the city and see the castle lit up. Would absolutely stay there again.

Very nice guest house with great view

Good idea to contact hotel to find out best and least hilly way to get there but the view is fantastic once you arrive. The room was very nice and clean with large modern bathroom and plenty of space generally. Paulo and Helena were very happy to help in any way and we were very happy with the hotel. The only drawback was the lift being out of order for part of the stay which made the climb up to the 4th floor a bit tiring but it was fixed while we were there so all good in the end.

Location is really nice. walkable to different bar and dining areas, coffee shop and bakery. Miradouro is 1 minute away. tourist areas are mostly walkable. Property needs improvement! not enough towel, bed was uncomfortable, washroom needs repair. hot water is limited. not a good hotel! staff are great!

In my opinion, This hotel was great for the price. Its architecture is beautiful. It is like staying in old times. Its views from my room were really nice. Perfect location with walking distance to many activities, shops, restaurants, san Jorge castle and coffee shops. My room was very spacious with AC. and huge shower, little fridge and safe box. Its elevator gives a lot of character. On the other hand, the hotel has some stains throughout the common areas and it is noisy, but I guess the whole city is noisy. Breakfast is very simple, but has coffee bread, cheese, cereal, etc

first room I had was a bit grim. The wonderful staff changed the room for me and were very helpful and accommodating. super convenient location to everything, was a shame the lift didnt work, quite a few flights of stairs to get to the room. Its a very old property but basic and had everything necessary provided.
