  • I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. It is also used for state occasions by the President of the Portuguese Republic and other government officials. Thanks to Wikipedia for help ;).

This is a scam, worst experience I had with hotel in 49 years. First, the address is wrong, it is actually the next street over. The hotel has no name, it is just he name of the street. The phone number does not work at all, just voice mail in Portuguese, no call back ever. They send email to ask for another $80 on top of full payment to Expedia. They did not give me the access code to the property door and room until 10pm when my check in is at 3pm. There are bugs in the room every where, a/c and heat both don’t work. Zero communication or any support. If I needed an extra tool or toilet paper, I am on my own. Shower tiles are disgusting with black mold, the steps on the stairs are chipped and you can fall to your death. The property is dusty and run down. I am going to ask Expedia to refund my costs, this is total fraud. I should sue for damages but I have better things to do than waste one more second on this dump.
