All Saints church. All Saints church > 1692081 - 1692114 dates from the 14th century and is a Grade II listed building. Its south porch is a later addition dating from the 15th or early 16th century, and an extension built onto the north wall and providing modern facilities was completed in 2009. The church houses a number of medieval survivals, amongst them several wall paintings - one depicting St Christopher, another the Annunciation > 1692151. A very rare depiction of a group of women surrounded by three devils, dominated by Titivallus - the Demon of Gossip - is painted on the north nave wall, clearly meant as a warning against gossiping. The rood screen > 1692117 is late C15. The octagonal font > 1692132 is of Purbeck marble and dates from Norman times, whereas the wooden painted cover was added in 1934.

I stayed here some years ago and was very impressed, however it is very tired and dated now, they are doing some renovations in some areas. Definitely not worth the money at the moment.
