"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Die Duschtasse war etwas ekelhaft, da sich die Beschichtung löste. Wir kamen sehr spät, aufgrund verspäteter Züge an u konnten das Zimmer leider nicht mehr zum Schlafen nutzen, jedoch zum Duschen etc... An der Rezeption gab es aber auch irgendwelche Probleme, da das Zimmer augenscheinlich nicht im Vorhinein hergerichtet wurde, somit mussten wir um ca 2:30 Uhr, bis knapp vor 3 Uhr warten. "This hotel just scraped into 'Okay'. Modern enough property but running on minimum staff. Sometimes Reception unattended ('due to fire walk'). We discovered as we were leaving for an engagement that in fact our hotel door did not lock. (Going in we used the key and it opened but in fact it was open anyway. Only on leaving as we checked the handle was this obvious). Reception shrugged it off. No maintenance people on site. Only choice was to change rooms which meant moving everything down the...
