When checking in the gentleman on reception was very friendly, but it all went down hill from there.
The room was very cramped, the bathroom door could not be fully opened without hitting the bed, and on the other side of the bed there was no room for a bedside cabinet, and nowhere to put luggage.
I booked a room for two, but it was set up for one with only one (dirty) mug and one set of towels.
The bathroom smelt of sewerage, and both bathroom and bedroom were dirty.
Fortunately we checked in late and left early- this is one to avoid.

I was informed on arrival I had been upgraded so was very happy, but on looking around the very large bathroom (jacuzzi bath nice touch) i saw a huge crack in the shower tray. as it had been a hot day i had to use the shower and unfortunately on stepping in the crack opened up and stagnant smelly water entered the shower tray.
I quickly got showered with the lingering stench in the bathroom had to close shower door and bathroom door chose not to risk another shower in the morning. Very disappointed at this standard
It's a nice, quirky hotel, with parking available. I booked this one because it offered breakfast at a good price. The first day everything was great. The second day I again ordered breakfast for 7.10 as I had ordered it for 7.15 the day before and it wasn't ready until about 7.25 so I had to eat in a rush as I had to be at a meeting by 8am. On the second day, it was not the same helpful, charming member of staff, there were 2 young men, one of them in jogging bottoms, a matching sweatshirt and a baseball cap who just seemed to be hanging around, there were several people waiting ahead of me (some of whom had booked breakfast for 7 and, by 7.15, were still waiting - I asked if it would be long and he said 'yes, sorry' so I had to go without as I once again had an 8am meeting. Very disappointing, really spoiled the stay, anticipating breakfast I had not bought any snacks so was very hungry, they had very little apart from 3 varieties of cereal, the cornflakes tasted a bit stale.......
Fabulous hotel in a beautiful house. Everything we needed for a super over night stay. Will come again.

An OK basic - budget hotel
Nothing great here but did the job for a one night stay, Budget hotel - you get what you pay for. My room was recently decorated and clean.
Staff were helpful on check in.
My main gripe was music being played all night from the room next door to me --- i thought the management might have done something about it but it was unbelievable still playing when i was showering the next morning at 7am
On arrival I asked if it were possible to get a bar snack and a beer, nothing possible as the hotel, despite what seems like a restaurant on site as per website, there isnt one.
As to the room , when I entered there was a distinct dank aroma present. The TV signal, presumably supplied through broadband kept dropping out.
As for the bathroom, the sink was coming away from its base, the plug in the sink once operated I couldnt release the plug hence not being able to empty the sink.
The shower door handle was hanging off and the shower thermostat dial was missing
Arrived to find you have to pre book food though she offered to find something. I decided on takeaways the receptionist provided me with a folder of takeaway menus, a plate and a glass of orange juice. Very helpful
My experience.............
If an establishment provides a service or equipment for paying guests, make sure everything works otherwise do not make the guests suffer by faulty items in the room or service. Common sense.
Coffee table with broken leg in room, filthy ironing board cover, window blind broken and held together with sticky tape, bathroom sink plug broken, soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in shower clogged up, hand held shower rail broken. After all 100% of the room price is charged but not 100% of items/service provided.
