The room we stayed in was newly remodeled, so it is nice and clean and comfortable. However, the shower would benefit from a full door instead of a half door. Without a complete door, water splashed out during showers and leaves the entire bathroom floor wet. The staff was very nice and friendly, which made our stay more pleasant overall.

Very nice hotel close to everything for a quick trip in London. Our room was ready at 13h so it was nice to take a shower after the long red eye flight. Only inconvinience was the construction next doit which we didn't know before getting there and the fact they dont have an Ice machine. Super confy beds and nicely renovated bathrooms.

Although the hotel was undergoing some renovations - the staff more than made up for it. Everyone was so helpful and greeted you every day - I will definitely stay here again, and looking forward to seeing it once all the renovations are completed.

The hotel location was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small with old carpet and a horrible shower. TV in a location difficult to watch. We didn’t spend any time in the room but to sleep.

The staff were very friendly, polite & helpful the building is going through renovations by the looks of it we stayed in an older room We stayed when it was very hot the ac sort of worked but not great Everything was OK but not stunning hopefully when the renovations are finished it will be a great hotel We would probably stay there again the location is amazing N a side note don’t use the corner shops around the corner from the hotel prices are very expensive use the garage instead which is just down the road

The Lancaster Gate has made some dramatic renovations to its lobby bar etc as well as some changes to their rooms! Unfortunately, things have not improved for their customers!… - Bedside table only on one side of the bed. - No electrical outlets in the bathroom. - No electrical outlets near the bed.., in fact only electrical outlets on one wall of the room. - The bathroom shower has no door, which would be fine except that it is so narrow water literally sprays the entire bathroom… the towels, your clothes, slippers, all the walls etc. - We were on the “first floor”, so we took the elevator to the first floor… except that we then had to navigate 2 flights of stairs (dragging our heavy luggage) to get to our room.., one flight down and another flight up…and they have no porters! - The towels were placed on the floor of the closet!!! Instant coffee - No phones in the room to call the front desk! A Very disappointing stay! The Lancaster Gate hotel has been our ‘go to’ hotel for many, many years!… while admittedly it was needing a facelift, this one is botched!

Pros: wonderful location, AC worked great, room was a good size, staff was very friendly, and the construction noise did not interfere while sleeping. Cons: the room and bathroom were very outdated and smelled of stale cigarettes, the beds were extremely firm, and they did not provide washcloths. Small shampoo and conditioner were provided but no hand soap for the sink.
