"What a beautiful hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Exactly what you want in a lovely historic old hotel in a fantastic location in the Adelaide Hills. Beautifully restored, fireplaces galore, great welcoming bar and elegant dining room with fabulous wine room. "Don’t be misled by the name and the pics - this place is right in town and just off a highway. No bucolic getaway this.

"We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, and the location was excellent with easy access to everything we needed.
The beds were a little too soft for my personal preference, but that's largely a matter of taste. The glass bathroom enclosure is something to be aware of if you're sharing a room—it works fine if you're very comfortable with the person you're travelling with, but it offers limited privacy.
