"It was my second time at the abrigo da montanha, this time as a stop off between the Santander ferry and Lisbon. Great location in the mountains, lovely to have the small spa for a bit of relaxation, and the slightly fancier room with the jacuzzi bath. "A little tired but still very comfortable... the walk to the pool is not the most accessible and anyone with issues with stairs should be aware - there are a lot to get to the pool from the hotel and back! "We had a very nice stay at this hotel in the mountains. There were some nice (though not easy) walks nearby me the hotel felt much like a wellness retreat. We opted for 1/2 board (breakfast dinner) since there were not a lot of spots nearby and the driving made me a bit nervous. The menu had good selection and I appreciated seeing wines on the menu from their Duoro vineyard location. "
