"Beautiful hotel, great food and staff lovely. However, do not allow the hotel to book taxis, or use the taxi company the hotel is associated with, the taxi driver kept adding more and more on due to the ‘exchange rate’. I’m pretty sure the exchange rate did not cost $30 for $65 trip that was quoted and promised. Unfortunately this was a real dampener and put a sour feel on the end of what was a great holiday, nothing worse than being taken advantage of and ripped off! Tourists beware."

"Do not hesitate. The property is absolutely outstanding. Well appointed room, amazing bedding, extraordinarily helpful and pleasant staff, amazing views from the room, the restaurant, and the lounge (perfect for sunsets). Toucans, macaws, iguanas inhabit the property as well. Every concern is catered to. The highest possible recommendation!"

"We stayed here on our last night in CR just to be close to the airport. We had 2 sets of grandparents with us and they moved us all to the same floor and one connecting room to ours so the kids could have a “suite”. It was clean and had a great view of the mountains. We drove earlier that day from Manuel Antonio so we just stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the games they had which was entertaining. Staff was friendly and booked a shuttle for the next morning for us last minute with no issues. I would recommend this place for anyone. "

"This is a very strange property. There are a lot of hotels, private condominiums sharing the same facilities but having separate gated access. The common grounds, however, aren’t being looked after so well. The Selvamar section we stayed in was okay, but a bit tired now. Room was much smaller than anywhere else we stayed in Costa Rica, but it was comfortable. Breakfast was decent, but the restaurant by the main pool where we had a dinner wasn’t the best and not worth the money they charge. Two pools are kids friendly and they are of pretty decent size, but not very deep. Some other activities, like mini golf, are charged separately. There is a new high-rise apartment building buying built right by the main pool area & beach, which will look awful. I wouldn’t stay here again, because it doesn’t provide the Costa Rica experience I like, it’s more like something taken out of Benidorm, but I do understand why some might be very keen on it."
