Arguably the best part of this hotel was its close proximity to the Universal shuttle stop and an amazing tacos place (walk fast - sketchy area).
Otherwise, we had a terrible experience at check-in. We came in the morning after our flight and were told to come back at noon (completely fine as we didn’t expect to check in that early). We returned at 1:15 and were told it would be another hour, so we went out again. This time, when we returned after 9pm, we were told there had been an overbooking error and they did not actually have the king size room we had booked months ago available. After about 10 minutes of waiting, they said they could “upgrade” us to a larger room. What they actually meant was an ADA accessible room, which meant no shower divider so water soaked most of the floor despite pointing the shower heads as close to the wall as possible, and floors so filthy that my husband’s feet were covered in dirt and grime within minutes of walking. Speaking of dirty, the walls were pretty distressed and there was an extremely questionable brown liquid stain on the shutters. We were told if it was not to our liking, we could change rooms to the type we actually booked the next day, which meant we had to pack everything up, have them store our luggage, and then essentially re-check-in after a long theme park day. Sadly, the room we booked was not much better with a hole in the ceiling, a shower that pooled water due to a slow drain, and a weird in-unit fan. Book elsewhere!
