"The rooms are immaculate and the beds are very comfortable. Steve, the owner, is super friendly and makes a mean banana bread and an outrageous cup of coffee. We highly recommend."

"Five Gables was just fabulous. Loved the quiet location with a beautiful bay view, the quaint house, our lovely room, front porch and chairs by an indoor fireplace for relaxing. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. Will definitely go back."

"Really great location just off Rt 1 & super close to Rt 27 that brings you down to BoothBay.
Double level buildings so you may hear feet on floor above yours if they walk loudly. Simple continental breakfast was included in our booking. Non carpeted flooring which I LOVE! sink and mirror were outside of toilet and shower closet area. Very clean and tidy building and grounds. Would definitely stay again and recommend."

"Our only complaint is that on Tuesday morning there was no place nearby to get breakfast. The hotel had good coffee, but nothing else. There is a restaurant close by but its not open on Tuesdays. We asked the front desk about breakfast and all he said was we'll probably find something open in Damariscotta, way back by Route 1. The hotel could have supplied bagels, donuts, etc. on Tuesdays knowing the restaurant nearby was closed. We did find a diner on our way to Damariscotta but it was...

"Beautiful place to stay with spectacular views. We stayed in a dog friendly cabin and loved walking the trails. Heated pool was very enjoyable. Great food and bar with a very friendly and helpful staff. Lot’s of things to do with the available boats, paddle boards and games. Trolley to the downtown was fun to use. Hope to return next year."
