"I highly recommend a stay at The 100 Laurent b&b. In fact, I found it to be one of those places you discover that makes you reconsider reviews you've written in the past, wishing that perhaps you should not have been quite as enthusiastic and generous.
The 100 Laurent really is a lovely place to stay. The house is wonderful, built as the home of one of the area's early industrialists. The rooms, coming off either side of the central hallway upstairs and down, are roomy, with large windows including stained glass upper portions, and transomed doorways. There is varnished wood trim everywhere, perhaps walnut. While the house would not be out of place in a Robertson Davies novel, the amenities, plumbing, fixtures, heat and a/c are totally modern, making for a comfy stay.
Saving the best for last, your host Rejean is a character! He is very engaging and made us laugh and feel very welcome. He is also the cook! Breakfast was delicious made with local ingredients.
