"The staff were lovely, particular at check in and check out. Also, we need some maintenance, and the maintenance person was marvellous. The size of the room and bathroom were good, and the facilities such as the desk and chair were very useful, as was the two-seater lounge. I'm not keen on the lights over the bed, and prefer side table lights, but understand they are probably easier to care for. The cleaners forgot to replace a couple of items, but this was minor. The bed wasn't that well made, but also this was easily rectified. Possibly they just need a reminder. "

"A Hyatt package came up and I decided to book it but as a longtime Accor loyalist, I didn’t expect much. I was blown away! The room was perfect, quiet, the amenities were great, and the location was fantastic. I walked everywhere or took the train. The best part, though, was the staff. They were warm, polite, and genuinely kind. Everything I needed was met with a “no problem.” I felt heard, seen, and truly valued. Carl and Ahmoud were amazing and went out of their way to make my stay incredible. Not once was I met with annoyance or anything negative — just smiles and kindness from every staff member I encountered. They honestly made me want to be a better person — that’s how exceptional the service was. I will absolutely be back!"

"I thought the hotel was excellent value for money. For a last minute stay on a Sunday night I paid $162 when most other comparable hotels in a similiar location were $250 to $300 on the same night. The location is excellent being close to Central and the CBD with plenty of excellent cafes close by. One of the things I really liked was a seperate sink for kitchen type duties. I always find washing up in the bathroom a bit yuck ( think Kramer washing up while taking a shower, if you ever watched Sienfeld) . Also while there were a heap of pillows on the bed, they were different thicknesses. Such a simple thing but you hardly ever see it, someone has obviously thought about it. I like a low pillow and have resorted to carrying my own as mostly they are too high. I had forgotten mine this time but I had a selection of heights, so all good. When selecting this hotel I read several reviews saying it was old fashioned. I didn’t see this as my room was modern and spacious for a budget level place , but maybe some floors haven’t been renovated yet. I was in the third floor and it was fine. Would certainly stay again particularly if the price differential with the competition stays similar to what I experienced. "
