  • Lovely view of old Lviv from the top of the tower in the center of Ploscha Rynok. That's the Latin Cathedral, one of the oldest still-active churches in the city. To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

The placid cathedral courtyard is a maze of arched passageways and squat buildings festooned with intricate Caucasian detail. Located in the city's Old Town, north of the market square. I always enjoy my stay here. The only drawback is that there isn't a lift in the hotel but then there are not many stairs either so that is good. Everyone is always very helpful when I need help and friendly.
