Great hotel, lack of flexibility around stay.
Hotel staff made us feel awful for having booked with hotels.com instead of them directly. Awful. Awful. Showed complete lack of flexibility when we dealt with a major family illness and forced us to go that night .. we were only asking to postpone one night and they confirmed they had plenty of space. Told us they could have accommodated us if we had not used you, and outside agency. Then made sure they told us we could reserve the spa only for an hour, a strict hour. Point. Absolutely awful, very stressful, made us feel bad, treatment on the phone by the agent entrusted with the front desk. Then, when we arrived, great reception, great room, overpriced but solid bar, excellent spa. Too bad the hotel staff made us feel like low life before we went.

The property itself is great, beautiful, pure. However the least you’d expect from a 5-star property is friendly, helpful and organised staff. We may have been unlucky but got disappointed with the tone at check-in to tell us we were early, the 10 min wait-time for breakfast when the place dis not look full at all, and 25min wait to get our car back after paying 40 euros for valet service. Staff was overwhelmed or just poorly organised. Regardless I’ll not come back to this one.

Accueil très sympathique, chambre avec vue sur le Rhone magnifique avec un bémol, les nuisances sonores dues à la route très passante (véhicule de Police avec sirène à plusieurs reprises dans la nuit, bruit des voitures...) L'Hôtel n'est pas suffisamment chauffé, nous y étions un week-end où il faisait -2 degrés à l'extérieur et j'ai du déjeuner avec mon écharpe par la fraîcheur des lieux donc assez inconfortable. Si non, cela reste un Hôtel magnifique et très bien placé pour visiter Lyon à pied ou en métro.

Okay, not great.
Cleanliness not great, especially in terms of the spa. Had a free room upgrade if available with my Platinum status on Hotels.com. Instead they offered me to pay for an upgrade and did not offer me the free upgrade.

Cet hôtel n a clairement pas le service d’un 5 étoiles. Le réceptionniste était très pédant m’accusant d’avoir réservé 2 chambres pour la même nuit…hôtels.com a du régler ce litige. Aucune information sur le wifi , le spa, les horaires du petit déjeuner …il a fallu qu’on pose les questions à croire que nous l embêtions… Le spa a été une horreur. Eau tiède et non chaude comme promis, les horaires de réservation du spa n étaient pas respectés par les clients car il n y avait aucune personne pour nous accueillir et gérer les entrées-sorties… en conséquence , un monde énorme et seulement 4 transat…des serviettes abandonnées par terre … Tout se fait sur une tablette pour les réservations massages etc et le spa est censé vous rappeler…je n’ai jamais eu d’appel…et donc pas de massage ! Le restaurant : 1h30 pour avoir nos plats…ce qui m a fallu de demander mon dessert en chambre avec le supplément intégré ( évidemment!!). Ils ont offert le dîner au restaurant pour s’excuser de l’attente interminable. Le seul point positif était Florent le barman d’une gentillesse infinie et vraiment au service des clients… Le room service est très rapide.

Beautiful hotel in excellent location, easy walking distance to many different visitor areas. Had an executive room which was a large room with fabulous river views. Excellent breakfast, great quality produce. Did not have dinner in hotel only because so many other restaurant choices in Lyon. The spa is lovely, great to relax in after a busy day. Highly recommend.

Voici certaines observations suite à mon récent séjour dans l’établissement, censé refléter la quintessence de l'hospitalité cinq étoiles. **Accueil sans chaleur humaine : À mon arrivée, j'ai regretté de constater un accueil distant et dépourvu de sourire, ce qui a grandement altéré l'expérience et l’effet wow du bâtiment. **Contraintes horaires strictes : La rigidité quant à la possibilité d'accéder à ma chambre même quelques minutes avant l'heure convenue m'a paru peu conciliante. **Réclamations nécessaires : Il m'a été nécessaire de réclamer le verre de bienvenue qui aurait dû être offert spontanément, créant un malaise inutile. **Absence de surclassement non proposé. Malgré la disponibilité apparente, aucune proposition de surclassement ne m'a été faite, ce qui contraste avec les standards attendus d'un établissement de votre renommée et dés avantages pour les membres VIP hôtels.com. **Bar mal approvisionné : La découverte d’une bouteille d’eau ouverte et déjà entamée dans ma chambre a éveillé des inquiétudes quant à la qualité de la prestation fournie. **Manque d'équipement dans la chambre L'absence de prises électriques visibles dans la chambre a compliqué l'utilisation de mes appareils électroniques. **Amenities inappropriées : Les aménités (bonnet de douches, vanity set etc) fournies semblaient conçues pour une personne, ce qui a généré un gène car réservation pour deux. Le plus décevant et qu’Hotels.com ne propose même pas un geste commercial pour un week-end gâché

This is a well-maintained clean hotel in an excellent location in Lyon. The design is a bit dated and ergonomics were missed... some examples: no hooks for towels, small closet in a relatively big room, etc. Five-star should not be about a bathrobe & slipper; this place could not come close to my expectations based on my other five-star experiences. It's a very nice and clean hotel with friendly staff; it's just not 5-star per my opinion. One funny thing is that they kept sending me emails in French (only French) even when I had reserved through the US website and mentioned that I did not speak the language. Thanks chatGPT!

Hotel magnifique, très classieux, spa agréable, chambre spacieuse et confortable. Rien à redire. Un bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui pourrait être plus fourni dans un hôtel de cette gamme. Et le stationnement compliqué à proximité dans la rue, ou alors en parking souterrain relativement cher.

Très très bien
Une semaine que l'on dors dans des 4 ou 5 étoiles, celui là est de loin le plus propre. impossible de trouver un cheveux au sol, que ce soit dans les chambres, salle de bain ou le spa, ce qui est pourtant monnaie courante même dans les meilleurs hôtels. Le personnel a été très agréable avec nous alors que dans certains hôtels de ce standing quand vous avez un bébé de 2 ans qui parle le personnel devient moins agréable. En terme de service, l'hôtel a agrémenté notre chambre d'une table a langer ainsi que d'une bassine pour laver notre bébé de quelques semaines et d'un lit parapluie pour le grand de 2 ans. Le spa est également très propre et propose des massages adaptés aux femmes enceintes et aux enfants.

Freundliches Personal, sehr gute Lage, unser Wunsch eine weichere Matratze zu bekommen, wurde sofort erfüllt, geräumiges Zimmer und Badzimmer. Der zweite Lift war während den drei Tagen Aufenthalt ausser Betrieb (unter der Woche), Frühstück hat alles - Buffet muss aber regelmässig aufgefüllt werden. So hatte es um 9.30 h schon kein Naturejoghurt mehr.
