"The room was small and very minimal. It needed some form of countertop under the TV or something to give you more space to set things. Only having one window made it feel a bit too closed off. The bed was fine. The A/C worked well. The hotel itself was nice and modern. The room was clean. I would stay again, but not in a single queen room. I would get a room with two queens, just to, hopefully, get a bigger room."

"Be aware of the room you are choosing. We stayed in Aft Castle room 6. The online pictures show living areas, kitchens etc but we had one very small room and small bathroom, with no additional living areas, not representative of the photos. If you have mobility issues, this is not your room, as it is three floor walk up. As well, there is very limited parking on site, with overflow parking one block away."

"The entire place was clean and well-equipped. We had a three-bedroom that backed up to the bar, but was below the level of the bar. The sounds weren’t as distracting as other suites above the bar. It was kind of like being in a basement, where you couldn’t see daylight. That was weird. The location was great for walking around Halifax."

"Easily accessed downtown property with on site secure parking. Once there, everything else is walkable. Pedestrian only shopping and entertainment street just block over. Lots of walkable nearby dining options. Only a few blocks from spectacular waterfront. Helpful staff. Very clean and spacious rooms. Reasonably priced. Would stay again."
