"Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful village setting. The rooms are fairly small but clean, cozy and looks recently renovated. Well appointed with all the things you need. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with tea, coffee, juices and cereal also available. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This is apparently a community owned pub/B&B owned by the village, so deserves to be well supported. Top marks from me, and thoroughly recommended!"

Unfortunately the description Hotels.com. used was inaccurate and we would not have booked the property. There is NO - on site parking as stated. On arrival the property is located at the end of a terrace of 5 houses down an uneven path and through 2 gates. "We had a really enjoyable stay here as a family. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly, which set the tone for the whole trip. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the beds in particular were excellent. The bathroom was spotless, and the toiletries were a nice touch that made it feel a bit more thoughtful than the usual budget offering. WiFi was reliable throughout and the TV worked well, which kept everyone happy in the evening. Breakfast was the one area with room for improvement. The food itself was fine, but the buffet could have done with closer monitoring. A few items ran low and were not topped up quickly, and at one point there were no clean plates available. Nothing that spoiled the stay, just a small thing that would lift the experience if the team kept a closer eye on it. Overall a comfortable, well kept hotel with friendly staff. We would happily stay again."
