"Famata lodge was a great stay for a couple of nights. If you are doing the RN7 and want to stay close to the airport, this place may be for you. They upgraded us from the Hemingway to the Eau-La-La which worked great for our family. Lots of sitting space. The pool is nice and relaxing. For dinner, they made vegetarian options for me that were interesting and enjoyable to eat. "

"I had the unfortunate situation when my Land Cruiser broke down in the challenging roads in Madagascar. I called Expedia but they were not much help. Expedia told the only way they could cancel was for them to contact the hotel. Knowing the challenges with calls in Madagascar, I told Expedia I would call myself as I am here in the country. "DO NOT BOOK. The pictures and description are for the Tsienimparihy LODGE and not the HOTEL (both located in Ambalavao). The hotel is a rundown place and is 10$ a night. Neither the hotel or lodge had a reservation in our name although we had a hotels.com reservation. We ended up having to book another hotel in extremis. We were told to book directly through the lodge and advise you to do the same if considering this option."

"Das Hotel ist mit hochwertigen Materialien gebaut. Solarstrom und warmes Wasser gibt es rund um die Uhr. Leider sind die Bungalows ( wahrscheinlich wegen des Windes) quer zum Strand ausgerichtet und haben deshalb nur einen eingeschränkten, manche nur einen sehr eingeschränkten Meerblick. Der Strand eignet sich kaum zum Baden, da das Wasser sehr flach und voller Algen ist. Der Swimmingpool ist schön. Leider liegt er vom Meer abgewendet.
