Three House Hotel deserves more than five stars! Our room was an apartment rather than just a hotel room, and it was perfect. The rooftop pool, deck and bar was great with comfortable seating, a very nice casual yet elegant decor and an incredible view of Funchal and the waterfront. The staff that we interacted with were, to a one, professional, engaging, pleasant, energetic and attentive to our needs. The location, very close to the Old Town area suited us perfectly. We expected a pleasant stay, but our expectations were exceeded. We will return to Madeira again, because we love it, and we’ll stay here again for the same reason - we loved it!

The service at Three House was exceptional. From the reception, to the Bar and Restaurant staff, nothing was too much trouble. There were little extras like fresh pastries hung in string baskets on the door each morning, lovely bathrobes, car hire sorted out with nothing for me to do but make the payment i’m jump in the vehicle, brilliant restaurant recommendations. The room also was great, really spacious, lots of fancy appliances from Smeg, two huge TVs, comfortable throughout. I stayed a week and felt very much at home. The hotel has a really nice rooftop bar and small pool, but no inside bar or lounge area if the weather is not fine. Highly recommend this place.

This relatively new hotel, situated in the center of Funchal's old town, really understands how to provide maximum comfort to guests! Our lodging is spacious, offers a beautiful view of the hills, and comes with helpful amenities such as complimentary pastries in the morning and self-service water refills. Our only minor complaint is noise from the streets, but the hotel does supply ear plugs! The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. Last but not the least, the rooftop bar is worth a visit for its tasty cocktails.

Three House is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. It is definitely a home away from home. Every single detail has been well thought out. From fresh baked, warm goodies hanging on your door every morning to ice cream in the freezer, to cold filtered water at your disposal, to a fully stocked kitchen and laundry room. The rooftop was amazing with the views, the pool, the restaurant and the seating areas. Having the grocery store right across the street was super convenient and we could walk everywhere from Three House. The thing that made the stay the most special though was Miguel. He was incredibly helpful. He organized a rental car for us, taxi transfers to and from the airport and was always there with great advice including restaurants and a driving tour around the island. Can't recommend this hotel more!

Das Hotel war für uns die beste Wahl! Es liegt sehr zentral, man ist schnell in der Stadt, hat sehr nah verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Service war grandios! Wir wurden einen Tag vor der Anreise per WhatsApp kontaktiert und haben so bereits sehr viele hilfreiche Informationen erhalten. Beim Check-in gab es einen Rundgang durch alle Etagen des Hotels mit etlichen Informationen. Und als Überraschung wurde jeden Morgen ein Sackerl mit Croissants an die Tür gehängt, obwohl das Hotel kein Frühstück anbietet. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war sehr, sehr angenehm und fürsorglich. Wir haben uns selten so wohlgefühlt!

The property is quite new and exciting in its unique branding. The view from the rooftop, and the rooftop pool are exquisite. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The large modern rooms are like an aparthotel and have a full kitchen of new upscale appliances. There is a dedicated elevator for guests. The location is right in the heart of the city between the old and new town areas with a few minutes walk to the water, and to the gondola to take you up the hill to some of the main attractions.

Home away from home
Really nice hotel! Felt a little like home away from home. Staff is very friendly and even brought us chocolates made on Madeira. Roof top pool and view is amazing!

A great location in Funchal old town. Very comfortable room with great facilities. Hotel staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was perfect and the leaving chocolates were a nice touch.

Madeira Pearl!
The Three House Hotel was the most pleasurable experience in all my many years of traveling, the staff were the most courteous I’ve ever encountered and my two bedroom apartment was just perfect. A spacious living room with a high tech TV and full kitchen was so comfortable and then two wonderful beds and bathrooms with rain showers completed a fantastic apartment. The rooftop bar had a chill vibe and exquisite menu, a must night up there. Madeira, along with Tasmania is the most beautiful island on Earth, everyone should see it !

Love these apartments!
Our stay was brilliant, from the warm and personal welcoming, to the warm croissants each morning, we felt like we were home. Centrally located, the apartment had a fab view back up the mountains, and an incredible rooftop bar (drinks + food were great!). The apartment had nearly everything we needed, all new equipment and high quality. The shower / bathroom was amazing! Found for the entire 10 day stay the management team were super helpful and the handwritten notes & gifts were so lovely. We’ll be back, plus highly recommend!
