The cabin was a refreshing, peaceful, and beautiful place to land after a day of exploring Nova Scotia. They are conveniently located in a lightly wooded area that is still within walking distance to restaurants, coffee, and shopping in Malone Bay. We loved it.

I was very impressed with the accommodations that were designed into the cabin for accessibility. I'm not mobility challenged and can't represent those who are, but there are no wheelchair barriers into the unit or through any doorways, the bed is low, the bathroom is very large with grab bars by the toilet and shower, and the shower has a fold-down seat. The decor and setting felt very spa-like and relaxing.

Amazing cabins, whoever designed and decorated these units did an excellent job! The furniture, the bed and the bathroom are tastefully done. The cabin is super clean and included, coffee and water bottles. I highly recommend Black Forest Cabins, didn’t want to leave to go to my next destination.

Our cabin was clean and peaceful. Check-in was super simple - a code for your entry into your cabin gets sent to you 24 hours before your arrival, however, I never received one. I called the number for the property and staff was super helpful, apparently sometimes when booking this property through Expedia, there are delays/issues with automatically being sent the code. This being said, the helpful staff sent me the code and it was an easy process. Awesome stay, great location! No complaints, will return again.

Beautiful setting- love the elevated boardwalk through the trees and the fairy lights. The cabin is so new it still smells like cut wood. Very clean! Stunning interior. Will definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at The Black Forest, despite the cold and rain. The cabin was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed, but it would have been nice to have a microwave and freezer; however, we knew there wasn't either when we booked - just a comment really. We felt like we were in the woods, yet we were close enough to walk to several restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at the Cabins again.

Cabins were really cute. The bed was super comfortable and the amenities were great. Would have liked to have had a least a microwave to reheat food tho. Another suggestion would be a table or shelving in the bathroom to place personal toiletries on. Location was wonderful, close to shops and restaurants but gave the feeling of being away from the hustle. Would definitely recommend.

However, room was pristine and just exactly as described. The decor was outstanding in the space was very welcoming. It fit our needs perfectly. The setting is amazingly quiet for being very close to the road. Traffic becomes far less at night and noise was not an issue. Close to Mahone Bay and easy to access. We would use it again.

Beautiful and clean room. Great location. Enormously comfortable bed! I truly loved the space. There were just a few things that prevented me from giving a full 5-stars. The shower ran out of hot water. The passageway to the doors of each cabin are elevated like a boardwalk, which looks very quaint but is a bit problematic because you either have to walk around the long way to get to your vehicle, or step off of the boardwalk, which is about a 4-foot drop (for my cabin, anyway), making it a little difficult to step on/off. If they were to install a small step beside the boardwalk, it would make a huge difference. Privacy is also a bit difficult. The cabins are very close to each other. The wifi info is in a link, which was a little problematic and took a long time to load due to my phone's poor signal. But it's all in all, a great stay.
