"We had a wonderful stay at 1898 Hotel and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Manila.
The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of dishes that changed daily and tasted great. The pool was clean and inviting, and our kids had a lot of fun. The only downside was that the pool chemicals seemed quite strong, as both of my children experienced dry skin and hair after swimming.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the 24/7 housekeeping service was a huge plus.
What truly makes this hotel stand out is its exceptional staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The security guards and front entrance team were always attentive, welcoming, and eager to help. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and very informative, making check-in and every interaction smooth and pleasant.
The restaurant team deserves special recognition as well. One morning we accidentally missed the buffet breakfast hours, and instead of simply turning us away, they kindly prepared complimentary plated breakfasts for our family. That thoughtful gesture made a lasting impression and perfectly reflects the hotel’s outstanding hospitality.
Overall, 1898 Hotel offers comfortable stay, excellent food, reliable amenities, and most importantly, a team that genuinely cares about its guests. The staff are the true gem of this place, and they are the biggest reason we look forward to staying here again."
