"We stayed at the Marker for our anniversary in a Harbor View room. Room was very nice and we looked out over a marina and had a nice balcony to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast was good at the bar by the pool but not great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good enough fitness room to get a decent workout in but no universal machines. Close enough to walk to just about anything you need. If you do stay in the Herbirview room be aware that the Schooner Bar across the path plays music til around 11 am or later each night and you can hear it from your room though it’s muffled. The first night we were there the band playing was way too loud and I could hear the words of the songs inside my room while the door was closed. But if you want a very nice hotel with 3 pools and attentive staff in a great location whilst having the Key West vibe all around you the Marker is very good. "

"There are no staff on site, only 1 person at the bar. All communication is through text messages. There was the base thumping from music next door until 2-3 each night. We sent a text to see if we could move. We received no response. We sent a follow up text the next day -no response.We were simply ignored for the remainder of the week, when we received a text telling us the checkout time was 10 AM and that the staff would be there soon after that to clean our room. It looked as though there is no little if any work presently being done to maintain the properties appearance."

"The Cabana Inn is very close to Duval street and all the action in that area. We found the Inn to be quiet at night for sleeping, however the security is unclear as the front gate and front door to the Inn were unlocked well after staffing had left for the day after 10:00 pm. Anyone from the street could enter the center of the Inn if they chose to do so. We didn't need our room key to enter the property when returning later at night. The only other issue we had in our 5 days and 4 nights was that our room was only serviced by housekeeping once. Staff had told us it would be every other day, but we only had one cleaning in five days. We asked two different staff members on at least four different occasions about the housekeeping, but it didn't happen until the day before we left. We had to go and get our own fresh towels and such every other day. The pool temp was good but constantly littered with leaves and the hot tub is in a dark/shady area, we didn't use that. Our ground level king room was nice for the two of us, the bed comfortable but the blinds on the door and windows don't fit quite right so you'll want to use the bathroom to change at night. "

"I was expecting a nicer view and not a view to the garage parking. We also got a later than normal check in. They said they would call us when ready, and they never did."

"The tag line of the hotel is "Come Hide" which was appropriate as it is hidden from plain view of the hustle and bustle of Duval St. The entrance is mysterious as it is set back and the pathway leading to the reception office is filled with green ferns/palms. Loved it! The center of the property is highlighted the bar and the permanent stage for the daily entertainment. Great place to stay and close to everything!"
