Relax and Enjoy Nature

My husband and I can't wait to return. The owners Ed and Tania are great and inspiring people. There is no need for TV so just unwind and connect with nature.You will truly be able to relax.I'd highÄŗy suggest to rent a car and explore nearby beaches. We ate in Montanita at Rocios and Marea. You can surf, take nature walks and do kayak. Do not expect to watch TV. You can rely on good wifi and surf the web without a problem.

Mountain Top Retreat

Beautiful, natural area on top of a hill with view of the ocean and sunset. Fresh meals cooked daily, worth the wait. Owners Ed and Tania were friendly and helpful. Spacious room with king size bed. Nice getaway!

El lugar es alejado y bonito si se busca estar alejado . Si se desea estar cerca del mar no es el lugar adecuado ya que se debe bajar en taxi o auto unos 10 o 15 a la playa mas cercana . No recomiendo hacer el booking por Expedia porque el establecimiento cobra 25 usd extra por noche. Eso me enterƩ al pagar. Los dueƱos y personal muy atentos pero falta mejorar la profesionalizacion del lugar y su administracion. Cuando llegamos no tenƭan nuestra reserva, decian que no la encontraban pero nos acomodaron.

El personal super amable, fĆ”cil llegar, cerca de todo en la ruta del sol. Vista excelente. Lo Ćŗnico que no me pareciĆ³ excelente es que por ser tan rĆŗstico no pudo ser tan impecablemente limpio. Tal vez si hubiera mĆ”s personal de mantenimiento se pudiera tener ciertos espacios mĆ”s cuidados y limpios. Me encantĆ³ que es un lugar para estar retirado y descansar.

Delightful stay. This is a little piece of heaven in the cold Equatorial forest. A peaceful place sorrounded by trees and hills. The sounds of the jungle at night were fantastic. Our meal at the hot tub by the end of the day was the best reward after almost a 3-hour drive from Guayaquil. Tania, the owner, was permanently available and interested in our comfort. Thank yoy, Tania! We missed not staying longer. It is evident that there is lot of effort and care in mantaining this eco-lodge charming as it was.

Fabulous spot

This is a beautiful hotel in a serene location away from the traffic. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. Food was great too. We had our own cabin overlooking the valley and sea. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach.

Mixed Reaction

Perched on a hill overlooking both beach and rain forest, the Lodge's setting was striking. Some side trips advertised were "not available" and the staff appeared rudderless with the owners off-site for the weekend. However, the staff was very friendly. The food was only so-so and service was slow.

El ambiente y la ubicaciĆ³n es muy relajado, perfecto para un descanso. Buen servicio. El acceso es complicado, se debe hacer en vehĆ­culo. El wifi no funcionaba en la habitaciĆ³n que nos tocĆ³ por lo que habĆ­a que ir a la zona central. Queda a unos 10 minutos de montaƱitas

No vale lo que sale

Es difĆ­cil llegar, pero el hotel estĆ” en un lugar de mezcla entre bosque y selva muy bonito, especial para desenchufarte y relajarse. El comedor es abierto, la comida muy rica, y todos muy atentos, especialmente Tanya, la dueƱa. Las habitaciones son otro cantar. DifĆ­ciles de acceder, sobre todo por mi embarazo avanzado. DespuĆ©s de caminar 150 mĆ”s, hay que subir escaleras. Las habitaciones son ordenadas y limpias, pero no muy confortables y no se parecen en nada a las fotos. Los baƱos son viejos, y tuvimos que pedir cambio de habitaciĆ³n porque el primero tenĆ­a un nido de cucarachas. Era despertarse y saludarlas. Las camas dobles son en realidad dos camas de plaza y media unidas. el jacuzzi del hotel estĆ” ubicado hacia el paisaje y es especial para el relax, aunque el agua es caliente, tambiĆ©n estĆ” sucia. DeberĆ­an cambiarla mĆ”s seguido.

El acceso al hotel malo. EstĆ” en lo alto de una loma y la mayor parte de la carretera sin asfaltar en muy mal estado. Mala seƱalizaciĆ³n y sin iluminaciĆ³n. Nos cobraron un 5% mas (17,5$) por pagar con tarjeta. Ɖste tipo de coste deberĆ­an advertirlo de alguna forma y avisar que si no se paga en efectivo tendrĆ” un sobrecoste la estancia. Lo mejor Antonio, el seƱor de mantenimiento, que nos ayudĆ³ muy amablemente a sacar el coche remolcĆ”ndolo porque se nos quedĆ³ atrapado en una cuesta llena de barro. Si no hubiera sido por el, tendrĆ­amos que haber llamado a una grĆŗa.
