"Overall very nice stay"

"I arrived at midnight to find a line of people waiting in the lobby, because there was only one employee on the property and he was away from the desk for 30 minutes helping a guest. My non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. My mattress was old and creaky and the springs poked my back. The staff do a good job keeping the place clean, but it is obvious that this property is badly neglected."

"We were in Newark for a lacrosse tournament and this was the perfect location. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and the hotel patio and bar were beautiful. We loved sitting outside and relaxing with a few drinks before dinner. Their espresso martini was delicious! Quaint little town with lots of history and beautiful buildings."

"The pictures from the property are nice and true but only highlight the remodeled parts of the room. The floors have no carpet which make a nice clean look, the furniture is new, simple and functional. The beds are raised about a foot off the floor so the dust doesn't get collected. Updated sink and mirror, outside of the bathroom in plain site when you walk in the room. The bathroom, however, is not updated at all: old tile of three kinds, old tub and toilet. "Good news was the breakfast and location near our destination. Large fridge and freezer is good. The room was generally clean but the kitchen floor was a little sticky, the toilet seat moved, and the couch in the TV Room was either broken or underneath the cushions or frame on the one side was lower than the other side. They could of gave us a few extra towels as we were there for 2.5 days and no cleaning done to the room. Overall I would rate it a "B""

"We were not provided hand soap or tissues. We’ve been coming here for decades and over the last 5 years there seems to be less care taken. The rooms need a refresh. The elevators are scarred. Breakfast has fewer choices."
