"Pros
The location is fantastic. You are literally on the high street, with shops, restaurants and the cathedral etc. within a few minutes walk.
The staff were very nice and helpful.
The room was well stocked with tea and coffee, ironing board and safe.
Breakfast was good, especially the cooked breakfast.
Cons
The bed was extremely soft and gave us backache, and the divan underneath was a bit grubby in places.
The ceiling in the corridors upstairs was chipped and some were bowing. As it's a 4 star hotel, I would expect it to be better maintained.
The shower had black mould on the shower head, and it was scalding hot, even on the lower setting. The bath was hard to get into as the screen didn't move.
The bar is really nice, but the staff often left it unattended, and forgot to bring cutlery when bringing out bar food.
The carpark is expensive at £25 a day."
"We had a lovely one-night stay at Broome Park Hotel with our little dog before catching the ferry from Dover. It’s a beautiful hotel in a very convenient location, with stunning grounds that are perfect for an early evening walk. All the staff we encountered were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
The only very minor downside was the housekeeping. There was some tea-stained paper left underneath the tea and coffee-making facilities, along with a soggy olive stone, which was a little disappointing in an otherwise lovely room.
Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Broome Park."
"We booked this hotel because of air conditioning, however the ac wasn't strong enough under heat wave, it's a basic hotel, no fridge, close to shopping mall and restaurants but it's quite noisy as it's next to the main road."
