"We had an amazing time at Hamilton’s! Since it sits next to a seasonal river, we saw so many animals right at the property when they came out to drink. Being in a private concession also meant no crowds during our game drives. The food and service was impeccable! Every meal was meticulously prepared. "This was our 5th visit to Elephant Plains. It's the most affordable option in the Sabi Sands and an excellent place to stay. Since our 2022 visit, they have updated the rondovels. They're super comfortable with everything you need. Staff were great. They seem to have simplified the food options (an improvement) and the quality is great. You go to the Sabi Sands for the exceptional leopard sightings and amazing safaris. This place does not dissapoint - in one drive we had 2 leopard cub...

"The minute we arrived we were greeted by lovely staff and elephants at the pool. What followed was a once in a lifetime experience. The positives - Beds are super comfy with electric blankets for those cold nights and a fan for the warm days. The food was AMAZING. I LOVED being seated with fellow safari mates and getting to know people from across the world even though we are total introverts. Our guide Leighton was brilliant, knowledgeable and an excellent driver. And the wildlife…. Wow. ...

"Superbe lodge intimiste (peu de chambres) situé dans les profondeurs du parc Kruger. Aucun dérangement des autres hôtes ce qui permet d’être au cœur de la nature. Belle suite avec terrasse privative nous permettant d’observer les nombreux animaux (éléphants, girafes …) Personnels très attentionnés. "Fantastische locatie, prachtig uitzicht. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer. Op de tenten zit een beetje sleet maar dat neem je er graag bij en uiteindelijk is alles perfect in orde. Je krijgt er zo veel voor in de plaats. De bedden zijn geweldig. Het eten is ruim voldoende, zelfs beetje te veel. Heel lekker klaargemaakt allemaal. De game drives waren biven onze verwachting. De gids deed er alles aan om ons een perfecte belevibg te geven"

"Shindzela offers the type of safari experience that is sadly dying out, to be replaced by glitzy, costly options that separate visitors from the real bush. Our guide was excellent; calm & professional even when another group was shrieking and whooping (TIP, wild animals prefer quiet). Our tracker was keen-eyed, polite and focussed. The cooking/cleaning staff clearly took pride in their work. I feel Shindzela is excellent value for money and should form a part of many more travellers' trips....
