"Accommodation is in little semi detached cottages in the gardens, which is very charming Bed very comfortable, breakfast very good and evening meal fine Only downside was having to use a tablet to read the restaurant carte. Fine for those aged 15 and under but at my age these things get difficult Heater in the bathroom was a bit rusty, which took the edge off a gorgeously refurbished hotel We shall visit again,now that I know to head for Pontabault rather than Val St Pere"

"Breakfast was very good. Super clean with parking included. Beds not as comfortable as some other hotels in the same price bracket. That’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5."

"The cottage was cute……BUT….we had several spiders (some quite large) and other critters throughout the property because it was smoldering hot inside , forcing guests to open the screen- less windows due to no A/C nor fans. I get that it’s Europe, but global warming has been a thing for the last 15 years and it’s not going anywhere. The least they could do is provide fans for every room and screen the windows."

"Heel rustig proper en modern hotel, gelegen mid centrum van deze kleine stad. Pluspunten zijn het zwembad, fitnesszaal, privé parking. Het ontbijt was vers, uitgebreid en lekker. De 2 bedden in afzonderlijke ruimtes waren top. Het absolute minpunt was het gebrek aan airco op onze kamer (onder het dak) , terwijl dit wel aangegeven stond. De ventilatoren waren onvoldoende bij deze temperaturen."

"The family were so lovely and welcoming. We got to meet the father who was so very interesting and shared many memories and stories of the Chateau and his family. Would recommend staying to all for a unique French Chateau experience. Also loved the five-course evening meal by the chef, truly unique."
