We loved our stay at Pinzgauer Hof. Our family stayed at the Landal down the road and though more modern they were complaining about the noise from the traffic coming through while everything was so peaceful and quiet for us. The Hof is conveniently placed at the foot of the mountain next to the gondola. The owner also took her time to advise us on the area and helped us to plan a nice walk in the mountains with our family. The vibe of the place is more traditional which we both preferred over the shickie mickie style that appears to be all the rage everywhere else. Breakfast was also lovely! I would certainly stay here again!

It's almost ski in/ski out

We stayed here February 2020 for one week of skiing and can only recommend the Hotel Pension Pinzgauer Hof to everyone. The location is very close to the ski lift. The rooms are decent sized (note: the showers in the bathroom do not have a curtain, so the bathroom floor will be wet, but it's heated and dries fast). Our room was always warm, even after we switched of the heater. It was slightly too warm at night in the room, not sure about the heat source as the heater was cold. Also, the hotel is in the center of Maria Alm and the church is right next door. Our room did not face the church and we were never bothered by the bells, but room facing the church will hear the bells starting 6am until 11pm. Food was good. A huge breakfast every morning. Dinner consisted of a salad buffet bar, a starter, a main dish (the hotel offers two choices) and a desert (I would have preferred a local cuisine for desert instead of being served curdling creme brulee - Austria has so many amazing sweet treats!!!). I want to highlight that the hotel offered an excellent vegetarian meal for those of us who do not eat meat/ fish. Overall, I can highly recommend the Hotel Pension Pinzgauer Hof.

Overnight stay

Very pretty village with good hiking trails within a 10 minute walk. Hotel right next to church with bells which go off from 6am. Not a problem if windows closed. Breakfast went down well with a good selection.

Aldrig oplevet så imødekommende personale

Det er den skønneste oplevelse vi har haft på vores ferie igennem Tyskland, Tjekkiet, og Østrig at bo på Pizgauer hof i Maria Alm. Værten var sød og fortalte om mulighederne i området. Servitriserne søde og venlige. Maden helt i top og det var hyggeligt at sidde derfor til alle måltiderne. Kan varmt anbefales.

Great value for money

We had a really nice stay here and can only give our best recommandations. Half board was delicious with great breakfast buffet and 3 couse dinner + salatbar. Friendly staff who paid attention. The hotel is in a small cosy village with shops and restaurants and a liftvard is given at arrival. We will for sure come again

Great stay at Maria Alm.

Maria Alm is a beautiful small village surrounded by tall Rocky Mountains. An ideal place for hiking and biking in the summer and skiing in the winter. Seemingly undiscovered by Canadians and Americans, it is well and centrally located north of Saltzburg. The Pinzgauer Hof is a professionally run family hotel near the village center. The staff and owners are friendly and speak English. The buffet breakfast, which is included with the room has a great selection that satisfies guests from both sides of the Atlantic. So what are you waiting for ???

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche in dem Hotel. Der Service war sehr gut und zuvorkommend. Leider hat eine kleine Theke oder Bar im Hotel gefehlt.

Skiurlaub Maria Alm

Wir haben uns sehr kurzfristig zu diesem Skiurlaub entschieden und haben dann das letzte Zimmer im Pinzgauerhof bekommen. Haben eine wunderbare Woche hinter uns und sind hellauf begeistert vom Hotel. Super Lage, mehr oder weniger direkt neben der Gondel und der Skibus Haltestelle. Zimmer angenehme Größe und sehr sauber. Das Essen können wir nur loben und der Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Toller Urlaub, tolles Skigebiet und passendes Hotel dazu. Sehr großes Smiley von uns und definitiv zum weiterempfehlen.

Das Hotel befindet sich gleich neben dem Skilift, der nächste Saison durch einem neuen Lift mit dem A-Berg verbunden sein wird. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Zimmer mit Balkon sind sauber. Tolle Dusche.

Sehr schöner und empfehlenswerter Kurzurlaub

Schönes Hotel, sehr nettes Service. Super Frühstücksbuffet. Einziger Krititkpunkt wäre das kleine Bad in den Einzelzimmern. Für Leute mit leichtem Schlaf ist die direkt daneben liegende Kirche mit halbstündlichem Glockenschlag noch zu erwähnen.
