"Spacious room and bathroom. Clear instructions on key collection after hours. However, the room needs better cleaning. The glass to the balcony door has finger marks all over it, the draws in the bathroom were full of long black hair, and the hair dryer itself had grubby marks over it too. Also, I think the plants on the balcony are all dead, so could be replaced and maintained"

"We booked our first night away leaving our 7 month old baby - The Beachcomber was amazing. The facilities, pool and rooms are lovely. The location is just the ultimate for relaxation and it was also really easy to have the pub/restaurant on site as well. We would love to come back."

"Despite a band playing I was able to get an early night's sleep. The room was a classic old hotel room, high ceilings, excellent space ,only a bed and bedside table. Locks were modern and secure. No lifts but a lovely old lace railed verderah. On-site parking which freed up once attendees at an afternoon function left. Easy to find by GPS and likewise to access off freeway. Bistro prices not cheap but children's werves reasonable and sufficient. Communal bathrooms adequate but require more...

"Amazing people amazing place. Will be back next year"

"Unfortunately, the sensor light out the front of our bungalow stayed on all night, keeping our room very bright. Reported the issue and were told it would be fixed by maintenance. Night 2 had the same issue. 2 sleepless nights out of 2 had us very tired! Otherwise, room and views were awesome!"

"Convenient location with walking distance to train station and Club Macquarie just next door. Spacious rooms and king size beds suit family bookings."

"If you’re looking for budget accommodation this place is fine. Location is lovely. Good aircon and tv. Bed very comfortable. The shower floor a little slippery and an awkward space. But the bathroom was clean. Fine for an overnight stay."

"Great venue"

"We stayed two nights in a three-bedroom villa with two young kids and their grandparents. We are sensitive to cleaning chemicals but none of us had any reaction, no smell, so we could fully relax at the villa. The waterpark and the bigger pool were amazing, entertained our kids all the time, literally almost all day. We could spot some warrabies in the property, which was a good bonus. The breakfast buffet was also great, especially the egg kitchen. No salad at the time I stayed but a good...

"We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the room with a card from Lane Retreat wishing our 10year old @Buckythefriendlypup a Happy Birthday and enjoy our wine country celebrations. The breakfast selections were excellent. Parking was convenient. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pool was clean. We including the poochies enjoyed our stay!"

"The rooms were very neat and tidy and the restaurant was excellent. All the staff were very friendly."

"Left one night into a two night stay to go somewhere else. Gone down hill."

"We booked a queen deluxe room for one night. Picked up the room keys in the afternoon but didn’t go to the room straight away as we had a function to go to. On arriving back later that evening on opening the room we were quickly disappointed. Generally the room was quite dusty and felt dirty. The curtains need replacing and were not hanging correctly. The TV remote didn’t work and the back of the air conditioners remote was missing. In the bathroom there was old soap in the soap dish, no hair...

"Fantastic place to stay. The young man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful."
