"The manager came into the office as I was checking in. The clerk and I were having a discussion (and yes, it was a discussion), about Motel 6’s weird corporate policy to scan the driver’s licenses of all adults in the room. (My husband, who is elderly and ill, did not come into the office, so this necessitated a trip back out to the car). I say the policy is weird because other hotels don’t require this. Anyway, the manager came in and raised his voice to me, telling me that the information was on their website, and if I didn’t like it, I should leave, he also told the clerk to “make sure to charge me the room deposit). He was very hostile, loud, and obnoxious. Frankly, he frightened me and I could tell, from the clerk’s reaction, that it wasn’t the first time he acted like that. I went back to my car, shaking. The room was fine, but in dire need of updating (old cigarette burns on sink, etc.). The next morning, I went into the office to drop off the keycards. The only person there was the manager- lounging on a sofa (it was about 7:15 a.m.). He didn’t look at me, or get up, just lounged there with his MAGA hat on,,,,,,yup- there it was- his whole terrible, overbearing, obnoxious, stupid attitude- displayed for the world to see- he is a MAGAT, and proud of it. Disgusting. For reference, I am a 60s white female, who is not scary."
"Hotel staff are excessively nosey. Parkinglot full of trash debris.
Towels are the worst of any roadside motel I have stayed at for the price.
Bedding was full of hair."
"If you wanna catch something stay here. We had several rooms for a banquet in town and each room was worse than the others. I am usually not picky about hotels but this place was broken, dirty, and smelly."
"I wouldn’t stay here again. The outside door of the hotel was unlocked for anyone to open, and the back sliding door to the pool area. The door to our room was already open with the swing bar lock propping it open. We looked down the hall and noticed a few others were propped open the same way. Room wasn’t clean with a previous guest’s long hair in the bathroom and on the carpet near the beds. Room looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed other than right down the middle for some time. Staff was a bit immature, I heard the clerk complaining in the back about the customer before me as I waited in line for pool towels after he left. Spend the extra $30 and stay somewhere else."
"It was good stay as always at this chain hotel at other places, but the only thing about this property was poor noise control , I can hear clearly what people are talking, can’t fall asleep. "
"They advertised an accessible room, and I reserved one. The bedroom part was great, comfortable bed, good lighting, clean. The bathroom was definitely not ADA compliant. Only grab bars were in the shower stall, which had a sloped middle to it that almost made me slip. The towel rack was on the other side of the bathroom from where you got into the shower stall, and no way to hang the towels near the shower stall. The toilet was difficult to get off of, since there were no grab bars around it. I had to pry myself up using the door handle on the door going into the bathroom.
The parking situation is horrendous, with no designated handicap spot anywhere near the accessible room. I had to park half a block away from my room, and it took all I had to get my luggage back and forth. I'm sure there are better options in the area! "
