"When we arrived at the hotel, we were in shock at how run down the hotel was. The hotel sign looked like a tornado tore it apart! Everything was ripped off of the sign. From the outside of the hotel, you could see ripped curtains and broken windows. The hotel looked deserted. There was a letter size piece of paper TAPED on the glass door to the hotel that listed a phone number to call to check in!! "Nice place to stay. While the facility is a bit older, it was clean, well maintained and a good stay value on our travels. Breakfast was OK. Nothing fancy, but very good. Easy to get to nearby restaurants."

"Date important:7/18. Facility if under major exterior construction which was not advertised in advance. This had several negatives. Parking lot contained trash and debris. Side entrance ways and surrounding hallways contained construction debris. Fire access doors auto closures were disconnected leaving staircase and hallway doors open that should have been closed. This was the most troubling. Staff was excellent, breakfast was fresh and staff member was working hard to keep stocked and clean....

"We stayed in a one room suite and while the room was big, the carpet was peeling in the kitchen, the wallpaper peeling in the bathroom and cobwebs in the lights. All this we ignored, but I went to take a shower and the hot water did not work. It was not even warm. I called the front desk asking if there was trick to getting it warm and she said no and she would look for a new room and call back.
